Conference objective
- The scope of The International Conference on Security for Information Technology and Communications – SECITC, is to bring together specialists that are researching, developing solutions or practitioners in the field of information and communications security. The friendly atmosphere of the meetings will provide a communication oriented environment that will help delegates from different areas to exchange ideas and to get feedback for their work. The event offers to engineers, software developers, mathematicians and scientists, the possibilities to establish new collaborations within current and future research projects, to present research results, to establish academic collaborations, to link the university research with the industry.

The organizing committee invites papers that describe new methods or technologies, advanced prototypes, tools, techniques and papers representing general survey of the target areas.

All the program committee members and registered evaluators are well-established and leading researchers in all of the Conference areas. This will provide a high quality evaluation process.

The Conference aims to attract young researchers and to provide them a way to publish their work. Young researchers that have finished their PhD program in 2006-2011 are invited to send a paper that describes personal contributions to any of the Conference areas. A special session will be reserved for the presentations of the best PhD. Thesis.

Researchers interested in proposing a special session or companies interested in presenting their products are invited to contact the conference secretariat.
Conference history
The Conference was started in 2008 by ISM – IT&C Security Master from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. It was one (and still is) of the very few scientific events in IT Security in Romania. Since 2009, The IT&C Security Master joined forces with The Information Technology Security Master from The Military Technical Academy.
